Las Vegas

As the sun sets over the magnificent Mojave Desert, Las Vegas lights up as the ‘Entertainment Capital of the World’! There is so much to see and enjoy in Las Vegas, whether as a first time visitor or a frequent guest. From world class shows, designer shopping, elaborate nightclubs and restaurants and outdoor activities, Las Vegas has something for everyone.

One of the most fascinating aspects of Las Vegas is that it is a city that is constantly changing. The excitement of continuous re-invention and rapid growth has helped Las Vegas to achieve popularity, resulting in 37.5 million annual visitors. In 2010, visitors will see and experience more in Las Vegas than ever before.

MGM MIRAGE has recently opened it’s 67-acre, $8.4 billion dollar "urban metropolis" called CityCenter including the Vdara Hotel & Spa, an all-suite boutique hotel with a non-gaming, smoke-free environment; Crystals, a 500,000-square-foot retail and entertainment district featuring high-end designer stores and restaurants like BESO by Eva Longoria Parker; Mandarin Oriental Las Vegas, a 47-story, non-gaming hotel and residences featuring an unparalleled spa and unique Sky Lobby; ARIA Resort & Casino, featuring Viva ELVIS by Cirque du Soleil, dining experiences by world-renowned chefs and a luxurious spa.

CityCenter has earned its sixth LEED Gold rating from the U.S. Green Building Council, marking the highest LEED achievement by any hotel, retail district or residential development in Las Vegas.

Nevada

As one of the largest states in the US, there is so much more to the Silver State than just the dazzling bright lights of Las Vegas.

You certainly won’t run out of things to do be it hiking up a cobalt-blue mountain lake in Great Basin National Park; the ranch-style hospitality of some of America’s last cowboys; quad biking in the dunes of Sand Mountain; discovering ancient rock art in the Valley of Fire State Park; skiing in Lake Tahoe; playing world-class golf courses or driving down Highway 50, America’s loneliest road.

With a landscape that stretches from the Mojave Desert to the Great Basin, including 67 protected wilderness areas, not to mention a history ranging from extinct volcanoes to pioneering prospectors, there’s a great deal to do in Nevada.

Nevada, which means ‘snow-covered’ in Spanish, has more than 24,000 acres of skiing spread over 15 resorts. The season starts in late November and can stretch through to early May. With more than 33 feet of snow annually across all the resorts, Lake Tahoe is one of the premier ski destinations in the world.

When you think about golfing in Nevada, lush green grass, tall pine and palm trees, beautiful streams and waterfalls may not be what you picture; but one visit is all it will take to change your mind. Nevada has some of the best golf courses in the country.
